Packing Your Skis Has Never Been Easier in Red River, NM

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The temperature is dropping, the leaves are changing colors, and the snow is starting to fall. You heard that right, it’s already snowing around October in Red River, NM! This means it’s time to roll out our Platinum Lodging Partnership with the Red River Ski and Summer Area.

Even though the slopes don’t open until around November 22, we’re still doing everything we can to get into the ski season spirit! We’re making a list of the trails we’re going to hit and ready to start a daily task of checking the snow report.

We know that when you come to Red River for your winter vacation in the mountains, the first thing on your mind is hitting the slopes! But before you hop on the platinum lift, there are a few housekeeping items you have to cross off your list. But no worries, we’re here to speed things along.

Platinum Lodging Partnership

With the Platinum Lodging Partnership, guests will be able to book their ski experience online with a code provided after booking their Red River vacation rental with yours truly, Reservations Unlimited. Once you’ve arrived in Red River, there will be packets waiting for you at check-in with information regarding your ski experience. You will find information such as your lift tickets, rental forms, and lesson forms.

Arriving to the Ski Area

Upon arrival to the ski area, you’ll be able to skip the ticket lines and go straight to the rental department, pick up your equipment and head straight to your ski lessons. Or for those expert trailblazers, head straight to the top of the mountain! Who doesn’t love skipping the line and going straight to the fun part?!

After Your Skiing Adventure

After a long day of racing down the slopes, head back to your cozy unit at Claim Jumpers and continue to enjoy the magical ski views as you curl up with some hot cocoa on the balcony or warm up by the fire. Refuel for tomorrow’s adventure by preparing a home-cooked dinner in your full-size kitchen. For those who don’t feel like cooking, take a short walk to Main Street and explore some of the best dining and shops in town.

Luckily for you, the Claim Jumpers are right across the street from the Red River Ski Area’s Platinum Chair Lift, so you don’t have to go far before you’re skiing down the mountain again.
