Why Red River is the Kid-Friendly Vacation for You

Going on vacation with kids is a wonderful, heartwarming experience – but it can also be daunting! Ensuring that every kind of child has the opportunity to make the most of their vacation can be hard. But Red River, with its variety of options, is the perfect kid-friendly vacation spot for every kind of family.

Hidden Treasure Aerial Park

With three different levels of difficulty, this park is guaranteed to be a blast for the whole family! The park has two zip-lines, one geared for all weights, so even the little kids get to experience some of the big kid activities. Each session available runs around an hour and forty-five minutes for maximum family fun.

Public Fishing Pond

Fishing may be a common experience to some, but to others, it may be a wonderful new adventure! There are two public fishing ponds in Red River, offering hours of kid-friendly (and budget-friendly!) fun conveniently located near a variety of our Reservations Unlimited rentals.

The Pioneer Flyer Seated Zipline

It’s as much fun as it sounds! Located at ground level, experience wonderful views as you are pulled 600 feet backward over the Pioneer Corridor. Soar back home at a leisurely 35 miles per hour. It’s something the kids will want to do again and again!

Mountain Top Disc Golf

Whether you’re an amateur or a pro, the disc golf course is sure to offer a slew of family fun! The course is 21 holes and can be accessed either by chair lift or through a quick hike. The best part – the course is free! If you don’t have a disc golf set handy, one can be rented for just $10.

Softball Field and Park

Being outside in the fresh mountain air is surely the best way to make the most of a Reservations Unlimited vacation – and the softball field and park is the perfect way to do so! Bring lawn games, set up a picnic, or organize your own family-inclusive softball game at the park for fun that’s sure to last hours.

Red River Community House

The Red River Community House is a staple of Red River, and for a good reason! The community house is always organizing a whole host of different kinds of activities, all of which can be found on their schedule. From bingo to yoga, to line dancing or organized group hikes for the whole family, there’s guaranteed to be an event that any child will love! Kids who love working with their hands may get the most out of the boat-building activity. Every Wednesday and Saturday, kids of all ages get to build their own boats with wood, nails, and hammers under the watchful eye of adults. Then, they get to test their handiwork in a friendly boat race on the river! All activities at the community house are free, but they do accept and run off of donations.

With so much to do, there will never be a dull moment on your vacation!
