Easy Trails to Learn How To Snowboard

Snowboarding in Red River is the best feeling ever. Over 300 acres of fresh powder runs for everyone to enjoy. About ⅓ of the runs in Red River are easy and beginner-friendly. Even the harder runs are great for beginners as they can be much wider. Another ⅓ of the runs are great for adrenaline junkies including The Face. After snowboarding down this black diamond trail, head on into The Lift House for a quick bite to eat and watch other snowboarders brave the run!

Snowboarding Lessons in Red River, NM

Red River Ski & Summer Area has some of the best leaders and phenomenal teachers that can teach anyone of any age to snowboard. The ski area offers youth, adult, and private lessons for everyone. Youth lessons start at age five and go through the age of 13. This group will help teach the younger ones the basics of snowboarding so that they can practice on the bunny hill. It is important to know that lift tickets are not included in any lessons. You must purchase a lift ticket for all days you want to snowboard including the day of your lesson. All lessons that take place at the ski area book up in advance so it is important to call and schedule your lessons weeks and even months in advance!

Smaller Mountain Makes it Easier to Learn

Unlike other ski towns, Red River isn’t so big that one could get lost. When you are on top of the mountain you can see the small town of Red River down below. All of the runs will lead you to the bottom of the mountain at either of the two final destinations. Red River offers a designated beginner area with a magic carpet and enough of a slope to help beginners work their way down as they learn this fun sport. This area is occupied by teachers and those guests taking lessons, but there is always room for anyone to take a couple practice runs if you are just beginning and not taking lessons.
