Does your dog love the water? The mountains in Red River are surrounded by the Red River, all ready for your dog to explore. An awesome way to let your dog enjoy the river is to take them to a quiet river access area and let them enjoy splashing around.

What’s a better way for everyone in the family to get their daily exercise, including the family dog than a walk or hike on some of Red River’s most popular trails. Gold Hill Trail is a 10.5 mile long trail that takes you to the top of Gold Hill. From the top you can see Taos Ski Valley as well as Goose Lake. This trail is great for dogs on leashes and your pet will enjoy the mountain air and exercise. Enchanted Forest has another trail that is perfect for families with pets. Be sure to keep your furry friends on a leash and on the walking trail at all times so that you do not disrupt any wildlife.
