Book your Reservation in Red River

It’s not too late to book your Valentine’s weekend getaway with us! There are many properties still open for that weekend including Aspen Hollow. This 2 bedroom cabin is located in the Upper Valley and is pet friendly so your furry friend can tag along for your weekend getaway. Cabin By The Creek is also available and a great option for a quiet mountain atmosphere along the creek.

Cozy Up in Red River

Spending time away from home, even if it’s spent inside the cabin for a couple nights can be very enjoyable and relaxing. Pack your favorite wine and fireside snacks and snuggle up beside the fire for a romantic night. Order takeout from one of the restaurants in town such as Texas Reds or Sundance Mexican. Call either restaurant and ask for any special for two that they may have going on. Noisy Water Winery is also open for those couples who would like to enjoy a cheese tray with a glass of wine. Once you’re done enjoying the view from town, purchase a bottle of wine and head back to your cabin and enjoy your evening.

Winter Activities in Red River

Explore the Sangre de Cristo Mountains during the sunset tour with your significant other on a guided snowmobile tour with Bobcat Pass Wilderness Adventures. After your short tour with views of New Mexico’s tallest peak, Wheeler Peak, you are taken to an open meadow where you can enjoy free riding time on your snowmobile. You can also spend this time sledding down a hill and enjoy a nice campfire afterwards. Located just 3.5 miles east of Red River, you can find Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area which offers 18 kilometers of snowshoe trails and 30 kilometers of ski trails. The Enchanted Forest is open 7 days a week through mid March. Make your online reservations at least 2 days prior to your arrival to ensure that you have a spot. The Red River Ski and Summer Area is another great option, especially if you are looking for an adrenaline rush. Be sure to call ahead as you are required to purchase lift tickets in advance this season.

Coffee Date in Red River

On the East end of town and next to Bear X-ing is Red River’s newest coffee shop. Bearley Awake Coffee is open seven days a week and serves many breakfast options such as muffins, cinnamon rolls, and pizza! So grab a coffee and a breakfast pizza and take a seat right outside the coffee shop at one of their tables with built in fires. Soups and other wraps are offered throughout the day.
